I have been prepping the front end for paint, picked up new fenders, shaved the badge and antenna holes with some patch panels i burnt in, cut the inside lip down 2/3rds of the way to clear my wheels and I had to lay some por15 along the hood seam where rust was starting to creep. I also picked up a new chrome bumper center to rebuild my old plastics on.

When i bought my after market bumper it was cheaper for the bar in chrome then painted black.... i think i paid like 32 bux for the chrome one through certafit....only thing i wish i woulda taken better care of it ....whenit sat outside for two years i didnt wax it and it rusted a little....just keep a good coat of paste wax on it......thats the fastest way to protect chrome ....screw metal polish .....polish makes things shinier not protect longer.....wax creates a barrier for moisture and keeps it sheeting off it....

I wish certi-fit by me still carried b2200 parts had to order my bumper online and pay $25 shipping

My chrome bumper was $90 Canadian in stock at Pro Body parts. I sprayed the rest of the front end this evening!

Sprayed the front end components tonight, still have to paint the top of the hood once the paint cures. Next is to plan out a sheet metal box floor but more importantly how i am going to make new box mounts once i cut the old out. any suggestions?

When I did mine I cut out the floor but left the cross braces with the bed mounts there. Had to drill out a crap load of spot welds

Not a bad idea but i have already sectioned the center of my floor out. I'm going to have to build a light skeleton inside the box and new mounts. I want to start completely fresh. I also just bought some chrome door handles from 91extcab.

Well i have completely painted everything but the box. Im hoping to have it assembled once it hardens in the next few days and get some good pictures! Cant wait to toss the box on and drive it to my new house/shop one last time before its parked for the winter.

this winter I will be doing the box floor in a heated shop!

stay tuned

Still needs a wet sand and polish but it is finally starting to look respectable!
This is the local artist that will be doing the pin striping
