i wasnt feeling the grey block so decided to paint it gloss black and paint some brackets and random stuff. i went to paint the driver fender. so when i was sanding the crow footed panel. i had to strip it to bare metal and reprime the whole fender, the crow footed panel went as deep as the primer. ill try to snap a shot of the fender tomorrow. im just gonna junk the hood and pass fender theres place on them where the bondo is atleast a 1/4 inch thick. well heres the block pics........

i used vht engine paint its a gloss black. oh and i hate any kind of bondo thinkness unless its a light skim coat. im gettting pretty good with metal work. My new friend been teaching me how to use the english wheel and the many assortment of hammers and dollys, that are needed in metal work. He's been doing it for 26 yrs. now. So he knows pretty much a lot about it. He says know need for bondo at all.

man what did you use to ground down that paint? looks like a grinder with a grinder wheel? bad idea if thats the case. use some flap sanding disk if your going to use a grinder.

all the grinding was done by who ever done the body work . i used my knife and paint stripper, i dont care about these panels they are completely filled with bondo. they were flaking so i wanted to see how much was on there. i gave up after seeing this much on just the fender and hood so im trashing them like i said. the door is full of rust and dents so its got to go too. parts are cheap for these truck, so why not replace them. i never thought about the grinder lol would have been easier that way.

got the body work done on the fender and it sprayed. the pics are crappy. i had to use a flood light to get a good pic. ill take some in the morning when the suns up. went junk yark jumping but no luck on fender or hood but found a door thats completely stripped for $100. got some more engine brackets painted and mounted. heads almost done he doing the 5 angle valve job now then i can pick it up. what are people using for head studs. also found out they sent me the turbo oil pump not a b2000 fe pump. oh well i got better for the same price. water pump will be here tomorrow too.
