"The Lab" is getting a shop truck

I found John @ quadfourrods.com who is making custom bellhousings that mate fwd engines to rwd transmissions. After just one email I learn that he is making the duratec to t5 bells and will gladly make me a duratec to c4 bell.

Cost on bellhousing was nearly a grand. Just too much.

Removed transmission last night

Just put a 4.3 GMC pickup engine (got to be pickup astrovan a/c mounts too high). in it. Sweet fit only modification, front cross member under engine. Front engine mounts are in the right place, just make new ones to fit. Redisigned an astrovan transmission crossmenber for rear mount. For auto can redesign original Mazda shifter. Really easy job, goes from 110 hpr~ to 190 about. I am using 86 4.3 distributor, no computer, and four barrel.

That's a good plan.

I'm Just going to write what I get done every couple days.

Monday, removed harness from passenger inner fender. Started on removing front suspension. Got drivers spindle and rotor off. Saturday will be my next day available. Hope to have rest of front suspension off so I can start prepping frame for modification.

Didn't work on the b tonight. Instead I got a bug to work on my bike . It's a 80 model cb750. Tonight I pulled all the tins, all the wiring harness, rear struts, carbs, bars and controls. Set it down to see where I want it and also pulled the forks out cause they are bent.
