well more work was done today. the back is just about done. Moving onto the front tomorrow. just need to touvh up a few things do the front then wire and plumb everything. thanks for looking. comments are welcome. thanks

well guys its been a while and things are taking a turn.

Now the plan is triangulated lower control arms. Stuff is on the way for triangulated lcas.

Getting uppers within a week or so.



i can lay on a 30 inch diameter tire in the rear as of now. cant wait till the body drop...lol. WITH MINIMAL PINION ANGLE CHANGE>......

dang man that is looking pretty good so far

well i havent done much. Just trying to get the rear to my liking so i can move onto getting the bed done.

I started cleaning up some welds and rewelding a good bit along the way and smoothing things out for a nice solid and smooth look. MY WELDING HAS GOTTEN ALOT BETTER. IM STOKED ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!! Gonna strip everything apart for cleaning/prep/paint. Gonna paint everything then move onto mounting the valves and plumbing/wiring.

I am thinking about adding another cross member just behind the notches and bringing the tanks closer to the front of the truck. Basically re-doing

I also ordered some lca's they should be here in a few days. Almost have enough to get my uppers. then one day ill be able to afford a set of drop spindles.

Ill have some pics of the progess in a day or two. I cant find my memory card.

man forgot about this thread....been a hella long time since i did any updates

Well to start this off the truck was brought to mmy house because the guy who started the work did shitty work then acted like a female over something little. so i am going to do what i should have done from the beginning and build my own truck.....i am doing better then what he did atleast.....

heres the updates

I pulled the entire swap out and and sold it..Gonna be replacing that with a 350 in the future. along with a 700r4--atleast thats the plan for now??!!

I pulled the bed and cab off and stripped the frame down to well...just the frame. I z'd the frame. after that i went back to fixing all the screwed up welds that were done by someone else. i added some more braces to the crossmember in the rear. i ordered some more tabs and link ends to redo my link in the back..SINCE THE FIRST ONE WAS ALL JACKED UP BY SOMEONE ELSE TOO...

I added another crossmember behind the notches also. Going to ditch the stock tank and go with a fuel cell. Another air-tank is in the works aswell.


My lower control arms are next on the list of things to do. just want to finish up some some welding and other stuff in the middle of the frame first. Spindles and upper control arms are on the to buy list when my tax money comes in.
