Just looking out man, the work you are doing looks good, nice and square and nice cuts but it looks like you need to crank the amperage up on the welder.

i used to work for arco welding and started as a pipe fitter then onto pipe welding. i just didnt know anything about notches links setups etc----i just regret not starting this project myself. its harder to go over his shit then to start new.

i have had to do so much grinding out and re-welding but most of my solid welds are gone over with and smoothed out in most areas. i burn it in with a gap to start with. then go with a nice cover pass to have something to finish with.

Well guys its been a while since I updated. Actually forgot all about this thread. I finally got my lowers done
Started working on making new uca mounts ...which are coming along nicely.
Next on the list is clean up the front, position front bags, gusset, and try to fund some stock uca's. Gonna set it up to lay on a 27" overall diameter.
Ill have pics up soon. Been real busy with other stuff.

made some more progress and decided to stuff a sbc in this thing when it comes to that point...

recently i have been working on making my own upper control arm mounts. i have the basic design down and got the passenger side welded up and moving onto the drivers side. i still need to gusset and strengthen. then onto the bag plates and gussets. i have to reweld some of the pass. side still not happy with the looks of it.

i cut out the passenger side motor mount since they are no longer needed and will get to the drivers side tomorrow morning before work.

here are some pics of my work...this is my first time doing anything this in depth when it comes to building a truck. so far so good i think. let me know what you guys think.
good or bad...ok...different etc. please be honest..you wont hurt my feelings i promise.

basic mount minus gussets and final plate size and a clean as possible finish

this is a side view...and the little squiggly weld s just a filler to give me a better finish.... i have a lot of cleaning up, bracing, gusseting and misc. stuff to do still...

i finally found some parts that i was in need of.

got a stock passenger side uca, signal/wiper switch (these things are so expensive new), and the blinker relays for $65 (usd) shipped.

about to go finish removing my motor mounts and get that part done. clean and smooth them out, then onto the uca mount. i am gonna assemble this one a different way as far as order goes.

NOT A SINGLE PERSON HAS ANY FEED BACK....INPUT, NEGATIVE COMMENTS, GOOD BAD UGLY ....EATSHIT? NOTHHING.

I NEED TO KNOW HONESTLY WHAT YOU GUYS THINK...THIS IS MY FIRST BUILD OF THIS NATURE.......BUILDING EVERYTHING MYSELF NOW. AND I MEAN EVERYTHING ON THE TRUCK MUST BE ALTERED.......
