k guys post up pics of your PRE 85.. tell us what you have done and what you plan to do...

















there is my baby... she is currently under going an exhuast reloactaion so i can lay that extra 3/4 inch.. its simple really. you can take your stock tranny cross member. flip it around ( passanger to driver side , and driver side to passanger side) re drill your tranny mount holes.. roughly 1 inch over. bolt it back in and thats half the job done.. the frame cross mamber is kinda a bitch with out teh cab off but it can be done ( thats how im doing it) have a 4 inch round 1/4 wall by 4 inches long.. i have cut the cross member out and will fit the pipe in place.. and run the exhust through it.. if this is too much . you could simple cut it out and weld on at least a 3/8 plate to the top of the member , thus joining the two peices together...

Not much now. Hope to bag it, Gotta get it runnin. I got that head by the way. Now I just gotta get everything else that goes along with it haha.

i can't expalin what all i have done, it would take forever. but, i have pics and plans...i plan on sfbd, with a 2nd gen rx7 lsd irs, backhalf used as the air tank, 5 lug swap in the front because of the rear, suicide doors, interior will stay all original, engine will stay mostly original minus the weber and paint, the bed floor interior floor and door panels will all be airbrushed to look like wood, and then paint. i am sure i missed some things but you get the idea. hopefully most of this will get done when i return from overseas. now onto the pics...

trplzero..how'd you drop the front of your truck?

just cut and/or heat the springs 2 coils cut off will drop the front about 4 inches

It's been a long 4 years in the making, bought a hack, then let a friend hack at it some more. Now finally de-hacking it lol.

holy shiza, i love it.. that has to be the most intence build of that body style i have ever seen... makes my 4 inch body drop look like a bag of burnin dog poop..lol

you know what i like most about these trucks. is if you look around.. i would have to say that 98% of them are built.. not static drops. almost all bags, and the owners go all the way... i love that..

Once it's finished, I will be able to say. It's the first to do this or that blah blah lol. Not that it matters but I never thought about it untill the other night that I could possibly say that.

I cut about two coils off the front springs. I don't think it's low enough so I might go back through one weekend and mono leaf the rear and cut a couple more off the front haha.
I never heat springs, it makes them too brittle and can be very scary if they break while driving down the road.

. mono leafs are scary in my books.. vuting springs as scary too. however IF there was a good time to cut springs. these trucks would be it. becuase of the shock running down the center...

i can say.. as far as i know. im the only body dropped 73 mazda on the planet..i have seen ford couriers however
