Monoleafs are 'okay' as long as youkeep the little helper leaf. That's what I did when I monoleafed mine, and I had no problems at all. Just using the main leaf alone is extremely dangerous because that takes all the weight and flexes and can bend or break. De-arched leafs are the wat to go. That way you keep all your springs, load capacity and safety.

I've cut the springs on every vehicle I've lowered that was pre strut. Never had a single problem. All you're doing is changing the spring rate honestly, so it lowers it and really nothing more.
When I monoleaf it I'll leave the small overload spring on there, don't worry

Thanks buddy, I appreciate the kind words. What do you mean as in moving out west? Were your at now or coming to the US? Shit seems like yall have better luck finding pre 85s up there than we do down here.

I've only ever found one pre85 for sale here in Ontario. I've been looking for 3 years too. I found one at the local scrap yard by my house and it was in repairable condition. I inquired about buying it,but they can't sell a vehicle once it's been salvaged, unless it is for parts. They can't sell a junked vehicle to be repaired and be registered on the road again in Ontario. This is another reason why Ontario sucks. Our licencing and registration system sucks.

Mikey, where are you moving to? Here in Southern Alberta you can get most of these trucks nearly rust free (I know, almost unheard of in Ontario) for about a grand. I was looking at one the other day for $700 obo. it ran good but smoked a little.

the engine is just a stock 1.8L.. which is odd.. see the ford couriers of the same year came with the 1.8L or the 2.0L however my mazda the 1.8L was never an option till 77... but some how mine snuck out of the factory with the 1.8L even says so on the stock plaque.. mostly written in japanese....

thanks for the compliments justin ( dropped 90)
