Buckets to bench?

I took the buckets out today to test fit the bench. No dice. The bucket seat mounts are completely different and also raised on an angle compared to the bucket seat mounts. The mounts are also set wider apart so that if you were to bolt in a bench seat, you can only line up the bolts on one side. The bucket mounts are set apart about an inch further than the buckets, so there is no way to bolt in a bench without some modifcation.

This is super lame. I want to get rid of those damn buckets.

That console looks so niceeeeeeeeeee. To bad I could never use it with a raised driveshaft tunnel.

damn bro, that interior in the first 2 pics is clean. and you have the knob radio, very nice. i had to buy all that stuff from a guy on here a while back. i was going to go with a bone stock interior but i think i have changed my mind and i am going to build a sheetmetal dash for her. i am thinking about a couple tvs and shit in the dash. we'll see. but you have a very clean interior man. do you have a welder? because all you may have to do is move the 2 outboard mounts in a few inches and they are only spot welded in. that is if they are the same style mounts (i don't know if you are trying to put an 86-93 bench into the 84?) if so then they are totally different mounts and you would have to get the mounts out of that year and weld them in.

ohhhhhhh that one cluster has a RPM gauge, how much $?

I traded the silver truck today...it's not practical as a daily. It's way too small and cramped and uncomfortable for me. My back kills me after 20 minutes driving to work and my knees get sore. Plus it's awful in the snow. So I traded it for a Pontiac Grand Am winter beater lol. I get to take some parts from the truck like the wheels, doors, gauge cluster and some other bits and replace them with the shitty ones I have.

I was wanting to put a stock 84 bench in it, since I have 2 benches available to use, a black one for the red truck,and a blue one.

If you find out a shipping quote on those control arms, I would probably take those as well. I need them badddddddddddddd.

control arms and everything's gone now. at dusk has a pair I think. If you really want the control arms from my truck, you'll have to pay the wreckers price now, but I can get them.

sorry to get off subject a litle but i need front springs bad on my pre so if any of yall can hook me up would be great. just dont have to cash to buy new ones like i should if i cant find any soon ill just wait till i can.

now back on subject yea i put a bench seat in my truck i ended up getting mad and welding it in with slight mods the the brackets. cause i was needing to go to work. its soon to be put in the right way when i get the chance to recover the seat. but trust me a bench seat in my pre gave me so much more room.
