Ok so I bought the Mustang motor mounts... now I am trying to figure out which is drivers/passenger side mount. The stud on the mounts is offset. Do I want that stud closer to the front of the truck, or closer to the firewall.

I tried to position to the motor closer to the front of the truck...had to use spacers between motor n mount bc my 351W's oil pan sat down on the steering n sway bars not to mention i had to convert from front to rear(rear/mid) sump pan n pickup
Also just thinkin bout that again...i think the right(passenger) side mount may not sit completely flush bc of the nipple stuck up beside the stud

My engine came from a 96' F150. It already has the rear oil sump.
So I guess the studs should be closer to the firewall to bring the engine closer to the front of the truck.

I wasn't sure what to do with that nipple either...

F*ck it, grinder down if it bothers you lol it's jus there to line it up in the mustang frame mounts

Good thinking. I'll just do that!

When you converted to a rear sump oil pan, did it clear the crossmember under the pan, or did you have to modify it?

Also, did you have to modify the tranny crossmember mount at all other than drilling out the holes bigger for a mustang mount?

no

You removed the crossmember? Didnt it lose strength and integrity? Especially with that extra weight of the V8?
