hey does anybody know if we can put mini spools in our rear ends or do i have to stick to a welded diff? im putting in a 302 for drifting and need something to lock the rear end up. welded diff just sounds easy but also feel i can break shit more easily. lmk what u guys suggest or have.

could you replace the rear end with something more strong that can handle the power and have a variety of diff locks??

For now I'm on a budget build ha I a bed on keeping the stock rear end for awhile.

Then weld her up!! And put hard tires on for no traction. Lol

If you weld it and have any sort of sticky tires you WILL break axles. ALOT. Ask me how I know.

My 5.0 S/C setup had a B2600 rear axle and FD LSD in it and is still going today after 5-6 years abuse on big sticky tires. My new turbo truck has the same rear end now.

Well I plan on using junkyard special tires lol a lil harder to find 14's out here so. And is it worth the LSD? Is gonna hold a drift well enough though? That my biggest concern. And also how much is a rebuild for a FC LSD? Anguswilly how did u wire ur 5.0 setup btw?

If you are purely drifting and not much street - AND you are gonna use old, hard tires - then weld it - I did find that the FD LSD drifted well but (because it's a torsen) it worked better the more power I had - which means before I added the S/C to my 5.0, it would sometimes unlock in a corner

If you want, I have a RX-8 lsd for $200 shipped.
