all have been covered so much.... with a simple one word search on here and you'd be able to find someone (or many people) with your same issue(s) and a solution on how to fix them. some even with write up on how to.... just sayin tired of seein the same question asked over and over and over and over and over and over and over......

i have an 83 B2000 that always smokes when first started and revved then clears itself and is fine, uses lots of oil, has over 300,000kms on it still runs great, coughs occasionally but no major issues and has stock carb, very rough truck but does the job, thinking rings soon and valve seals i checked ebay and complete rebuild including new pistons, rings and all gaskets is $150 cheap in my eyes.

So i'm new to this forum but i just got an 87 Mazda b2000. I love the truck but it will not pass the smog check any ideas what it could be? the smoke starts out white and then it turns black and it even spits out some black gooey stuff. I have been told it might be the piston rings or it could be the catalytic converter that is attached to the engine since this truck has two catalytic converters. Any help is appreciated thanks guys(:

Hopefully this helps a little
On the smoking issue rings or valve guides/seals (probably both!)
I have the same issue minus the emissions problem
