lifter tick...

I have a complete 2 liter head with cam,valves, lifters etc, if u want to go that route.head has been tanked and has no cracks or other issues.bj

My 2.2 has three hundred thousand km and when its cold it has a light tick but goes away within a minute. is this something i should worry about? its been running fine.

nothing to worry about skrapin. when you turn your motor off the (thin when hot) oil runs out (most not all) of the lifters and everthing back into the oil pan, when you crank your cold engine it takes a second or two for the oil to build up pressure and get the lifters lubed back up

if u use a Maz factory oil filter, they have a small valve that prevents the oil from draining out and that will lessen the time it takes oil to get back into the lifters,thus less tick.bj
