Hey Nova, is your oxygen sensor still hooked up?

Have you tried to run the truck without the computer connected? If not....do this.......

Disconnect the battery, pull the passenger kick panel off and unplug the electrical connectors on the ECU, then hook the battery back up and give it a try.......it may make a difference if the ECU is telling the mixture solenoid to richen the mixture (limp mode) in the carb because of a bad O2 sensor or something else.......worth a try.

Thanks Earl, I'll give it a shot. I went to look at a parts truck the other day. Turns out it was a runnin drivin truck that the guy said he just didn't drive. Told me he'd think bout the price and give me a call. Well he called....and said let him get his battery out and I was more than welcome to just come get the truck wednesday.
If the ecu trick doesn't work I'm gonna pull the lid off and plug the mix solonoid port and try that.
