Did you pull the water pump and ensure there were cracks or any holes there?

there was standing coolant in the cylinders and water pouring outa ur dipstick but none in the oil u drained? i can see y there would be none on the dip stick because oil floats on water. the water would be chillin at the bottom of the pan but if there was oil in the cylinders and waters coming out of your dipstick then somthins way off. u did say the motor ur new head came off had coolant in the cylinders too? maybe that head is really really really really warped. i cant think of nothin else but i hope thats not it man good luck.

OK, I been thinkin' a little with my little brain: what would I do in this situation?

First thing I would do would be to take the oil drain plug off. Then I'd fill the radiator with plain old water, and see if any water comes out the oil drain hole. Take out the spark plugs and turn the engine over a bit with a wrench too while full of water, or maybe even pull the coil wire and crank a few seconds.

If there's really cross over between coolant and the oil systems, let us know.

Do you live in an area that sees temperatures below zero? If so and the engine in your truck was filled with only water (no or little antifreeze), it could be possible that the water in your motor froze, and cracked your block.
