LOL - that is great, my b2600 4x4 is like that too - it had such bad leaks that I still had oil dripping after changing the motor! I was like "WTF am I going to do now that my new motor leaks" then I got under there and dried up all the residual oil and it looks good now.

I will power wash it later underneath once the weather warms up.

Good to hear you finally fixed it!

Yeah I'm glad its done. Replaced my antenna yesterday so now I can listen to the radio instead of whatever I have loaded on my memory card. Once I get my amp adjusted again my two 12s will really rattle the windshield.

Thanks for the update. If you break the windshield from the rattling let us know. Replacing a windshield on these trucks is easier than replacing a head gasket because of leaking oil issues.

Well good thing is I have a parts truck with the glass intact. As soon as my material comes in ill post pics of my box with some dimensions for it.

Little update as far as the oil leak. The leak from the rear of the head hasn't shown back up but I noticed some oil pooled around the front driver side head bolt (the one you can see without removing the valve cover). The washer that was underneath it was not centered so I backed the bolt out just enough I could tap the washer back in place and re-torqued it to 64 Ft lbs. That leak is now gone but I saw that the head gasket in the same area of that bolt was wet with oil also. Dried up as much oil as i could right there a few days ago and it's still wet, not to mention almost dead center of the header you can see a little and I mean little oil going down the side of the block near the freeze plug. Now after I fixed that one leak at the head bolt the head gasket is still staying wet from oil and that little bit of oil still goes down the side of the block. So my question is do i have a warped head? Truck runs great other than the little oil leak. I just expect a new engine to NOT leak oil, at least not after as much time as I have put toward it.

Ha !! Mine has that too; but I haven't done anything with it, and try not to worry about it. I thought I was being so careful about my engine rebuild 2.5 years ago, but that's life. The truck runs good and doesn't smoke, and plugs are no longer fouled, so a little oil on the surface of the engine doesn't bother me.

How much oil does yours go through a week Cusser? I had to add almost 2 quarts of oil the day I found the leak. I haven't driven it much since I put the motor in, probably haven't seen 1000 miles since I installed the engine back in late Nov/early Dec.

I don't add oil every week. But I also just drive it to work every day, and around town on errands.

Like yesterday I went 100 miles up north to my place and the parts yard, and I drove the '98 Frontier (which has 191K, almost as much as the B2200) but the Frontier has B2600i-like power and gets about 26 mpg, and has modern safety equipment like ABS, air bags - but doesn't have cruise control like the B2200, and I keep dicking about whether I should swap that aftermarket cruise over....

Modern safety equipment is something I am not used to, I have always owned older model cars and trucks without ABS and airbags and such. My 98 Dodge 2500 work truck has all that but the ABS died on it many years ago so its just regular power brakes now (with the annoying ABS warning light that's always on). I took my truck on a decent 50 mile run in and around town and saw no major loss of oil or any rivers of oil running down the block so I will keep an eye on it and see how it does. I am very particular about what I work on and how it should perform when I am done, so now it's going to be a wait and see type of thing. If this doesn't pan out like it should I have a 4.3 Chevy engine and transmission from a 87 cutlass 2 door that will find it's new home in a B.
