ok so the yellow is where the gasket sits and what i meant by the compression ring the red is where i put the jb weld

If your dad allowed you to put JB weld on a block deck and he owns a shop - he should kick you in your ass.

All kidding aside, it really looks like that block should have been decked or at least gone over with a stone, then a few good coats of hi-tack would have done it (I really can't see how deep the pits are but doesn't look too bad)

Pretty sure you said you'd be building a new motor for boost so that's better because that block is not going to be good with a deck like that.

If you want to know if the ECU is good or not, just open it and look for leaking caps.

I have a good ECU you can test with if you need.

I'm going to pull mine apart later today and check. And we have used jb weld to fill much larger holes on decks before. The picture isn't that good but the pitting wasn't that deep and I did polish it much better after I took the picture. It was at a mirror finish asside from the jb weld

The jb weld should be OK as long as it directly doesn't get direct contact with combustion.

No it's not in direct contact at all but I think my ecu is shot so today I ran to the local junk yard and picked one up which has been rebuilt SOOO tomorrow I'll be trying to put it in and see if it works

alright so i put the ecu in it didnt help, checked my wiring again and ran some new ground cables just in case, but it still has a miss on cylinder 4 when its cold and a little bit under load when its warm. i checked the wiring checked to make sure its not the wire i can spark and compression so unless the injector on cylinder 4 has decided to take a nap does any one have any ideas. im starting to get a little stumped.i have to retorque the head today on my lunch break so i guess ill check some other stuff later

I would do a compression and a leak down test.

If you suspect that the injector is bad, you can swap it with another cylinder and see if it follows.

When a vehicle has issues that arise after doing work on it, always suspect that the work you did was the culprit first.

I am going to. My plan for tomorrow is to pull the injectors test/clean them and look for any pinched wire or something.
