Have you measured your sensors at the ECU, I would back probe the wires at the ECU, if you leave your DMM connected while you drive, you should be able to see what's happening. Simply replacing parts is not the way to go.

I wonder if maybe your idle switch is bad and not telling the ECU to come off idle?

I haven't back probed anything at the ECU but I have checked most of the related sensors and all have been within spec. I think it has to do with the programming in the ECU because even with all the sensors working properly it has been doing it for all 10 years that I have had it. It doesn't seem to affect anything negatively... other than frustrating me, so I will live with it as I have been. Unless it fixes itself somehow.
