A 110 wont weld a b2200 frame to some 1/4" plate? Since when?

My hobart 140 will single pass 1/4" all day as long as the metal is properly beveled. But you need to bevel the plate even if u run a big mig. I guess ive been doin it wrong all these years...

a good 140 will weld 1/4 no prob. i got a 140 miller and a 251. just make sure the plate is clean and no rust or scale is on it.

Ok before it start hacking in my frame I marked the center of the rear axle at stock height. I have 9 inch inside my notch so what u guys think
