On my B2200 I have a weber with electric choke and was wired to the rear of the OEM alternator. Years later I upgraded my audio system then I decided to upgrade the alternator too. I purchased a rebuilt alternator from a 929 or 626. According to the counter person he said it has a 100 amp output. This alternator doesn't have the male plug terminal for the electric choke wire harness. I ended up just not using the choke wire for the weber. Out here in the Pacific Ocean (Guam) has a consistent temperature so it doesn't have an effect on start up for my truck. Also I heard that some guys wired a direct 12VDC source for the weber and others used the OEM alternator 7VDC output source. I'm not sure how the 12VDC will affect the choke coil of the weber in the long run. BTW I'm sure the 12VDC setup was tied with the engine running fuse source.

I think the alternators without the choke wire were used on vehicles with a factory EFI system.

That would make sense about the EFI engines not needing the alternator terminal. I knew I had read or heard somewhere that one had a version of an alternator without the wire.
