Thanks!

the only thing needed to get the ford 3g alt working is to put a 500ohm resistor in the signal power wire before the alt to drop the voltage abit. all it takes a little 1/4watt or 1/2watt electronics resistor to do the job.

Alright, alt finally took a poo on me. Looking into the Ford 3g alt. The smallest 500 ohm resistor I can find is a 5 watt. An they all seem to be for motherboards that you would solder in place.... Am I looking at the wrong ones and is a resistor necessary? Sorry to bump an old thread!

Why is a resistor needed to run the 130 amp?

Bump

Will an 88-90 100 amp Taurus one fit the same but without the need of a resistor?

Somebody? Anybody?

I don't see any reason a resistor is needed at all.
