Went with Charles idea after my wife did the individual spokes. Two tubes of the silicone exactly and used cardboard like Charles said.

First tried by doing each individual spoke. Decided the tape would probably squish it too much.

How long y'all think it will take to set up on the inside? The outside has set up but the inside is still squishy.

I'm sure with that much silicone it will stop the leak I would say u put way to much on there just a idea but it may work better if u get a bike intertube cut the stem off and cut it down the middle use maybe a tube of silicone spread it out and wrap the tube around it to more like mimic how the wheels came new that is how I fixed mine years ago

It worked. You're probably right, though, Richard, because it threw my balance way off. Thanks for all the help guys!

Sorry I wasn't on to answer your questions. I have only used silicone. I've never squished it with tape. Not had any balance issues either.

Well, these junk rims are about to go bye-bye. Just this past weekend I developed a wobble that made the truck uncontrollable at 50 mph. One of the rims required 16 oz of weight. 16 oz! Only helped a little.

I'd like to get some stock chromies on the cheap. Gonna check the yards this weekend. Plus I'll be able to re-use the 2 new tires I bought since they're 14".

The silicone went everywhere. That's why the balance was off. Less is more...

Picked up a set of stock steelies with tires from a local CL add. Gonna mount them today and see if the stock tires are too tall for the lowered ride.

Thanks. First exterior "restore." My goal is by end of year to have the body done.
