Okay, first off finally got the block cast, it's a 327 Has stock manifolds into a nice new exhaust system, sounds amazing. Has an Edelbrock Carb/Intake combo, seeking the numbers to identify these parts today. Tranny Identified as a 350 Turbo, SinCityLocal, thank you for that Shift Kit information! those prices are amazingly dirt cheap for basically anything they offer!

Now the Fun part PICTURES YOU DIRTY LIL PIC WHORES YOU!

Hey look, Mazda tailgate lol. Has the factory package wheels, nice set of 265/60/15's on the rear and 225/60/15's on the front. Handles great, think someone may have tweaked with the suspension in its lifetime.

312k body miles, not to shabby

I'm thinking originally came equipped with the 305 H.O option, as most of the 305 tachs where 4500 for yellow, this one is 5500.

The other set of gauges, oil pressure far right reads fine, voltmeter not connected, dash one works fine, water temp gauge, connected into block, doesn't read.

I know this is a Mazda forum, but the chevy forums i've found are really kinda dead. So sorry if i bother anyone continuing to post this build here where I know atleast some people will look and see what's going on. Found out today about some of the engine parts.

Intake, low profile port and polished Edelbrock Torker 2 with matching Edelbrock 600CFM 4 barrel perofromer series carb, think carb needs a rebuild or some cleaner run through. Haven't taken off valve covers yet as i haven't the money to replace them atm, in bad need of it, POSSIBLIITY of it having wrong valve covers, they just don't look like they seat right. Also, possibility that it has the whole Edelbrock torker 2 performance package, will know once pull valve covers.

Nice looking car bro, it really brings me back to when I had mine! Wish I still had that car. (even tho its the car I lost my license in...) and as far as valve covers go I thought all small block Chevys were the same. Wish I hadn't sold all my parts I had laying around. Had a set of custom built tubular headers that would've looked really nice under the hood!

Keep up the progress,

Fred

Thanks man, and yeah i'm looking around for a set of headers as well, but small stuff first lol. As far as the interior goes I have a plan to remove the top plastic piece and do a custom carpeting along the whole top. then later on add some interior lights nice little strip lights or whatever at a later date.

Gonna look into picking up a bigger cfm carb, the one currently on is the smallest recommended with the Intake, will accept and run fine with up to a 850 cfm I believe it said. so probably get a nice 700/750 edelbrock to replace it.

Get u a big ass demon carb! I had one of those too... I sold it tho. Like I said I could help u out if I still had all that crap. Which motor are u running? Is it the stock 305? I had a zz4 crate 350 in mine.

How about an engine bay pic?

Putting a bigger carb on it would be a waste of money, you wont gain anything. That engine can only take in about 500cfm.

It has a 327 Fdugn, and well thanks for the info Inlinesicks, will just get a rebuild kit for mine then. But i'm taking a trip for the next month, so i'm taking it to a local garage and have the whole motor gone over, with new seals all around as it seems as it needs it, also having a set of headers installed if i find a nice set in that time. I will get Engine bay pics in the morning and post them. Also, i may even look into the cam Edelbrock recommends running with the torker 2 intake.

Wellmy buddy that's nothing but a GM guy, works on others, but bring him a GM an it'll be better than new if ya let him do all it needs. And well I found out some good info/bad info

First the good, no bottom end noises, odd exhaust smells or smoke at ny point from anywhere except cold starts. Top end noise is lifters just needing an adjusment, that's the worst of the new, the rest is IMO good news.

I'm going on a trip to Maine for a month, so no plans immediately. Verified that it is a 327, with Double Hump heads, the Torker 2 intake and edelbrock 600cfm carb. going to find out fully what is done when I get back. Going to tear the whole engine down to the block, replace all new seals everywhere pistons etc, probably get new lifters at this point, the have the head port and polishedif not already done, lone with matching intake ports. and other small things. So plenty of build on this vehicle soon! by next season Street Fights at Bristol's Thunder Valley I wil be competing, and hard. I plan on showing a few Mustangs in my town what motor is allllll about
