There's an example of a munched UJ
You'll know it when you see/hear/feel it. Let us know how it goes!
I munched one on my capri (too many skids) and it started as a little vibration and ended up rattling itself out of gear (it was long trip)

First of all, the "put"ting sound stopped. Probably a stuck lifter like my friend said. But the knocking sound in the drive shaft was still there. So the next thing I did was I got the truck up on stands. It's amazing how much easier it is to see things when they aren't 4 inches in front of your face. I was able to lay under the truck for a little bit and do a visual assessment to see if I could figure out what was knocking or rubbing when I started moving.

Well, it appears that when I put the drive shaft back into place after repairing my clutch last time I was under the truck I installed the mounting bracket up-side-down placing the location of the middle U-joint to high causing it to rub against part of the frame above it. Quick fix, take off the two nuts holding it in place, rotate the mount 180 degrees, and fasten it back into place. DONE!!! I think the neighbours could hear my evil chuckle from across the street when I figured out what I had done. You have to understand that I am a complete novice to things of this nature. I design buildings, I'm not a mechanic but I bought this rig mainly because I wanted something that would get me around, haul stuff, and if it broke down, I didn't have to hook it up to a computer to figure out what was wrong with it and I could learn how to fix it myself.

So two sounds fixed and I'm not sure about the third yet. I took pictures of the U-joints but I'm not sure how to upload them so you all can help me with the "visual inspection". My guess is that they probably all need replacing just for good measure. One thing at a time. I think I'll replace the fluids first and check spark plugs before I tackle those.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Fine work
It's usually the case, fix something and then there's a new noise.... means either you've done something wrong, or fixed the nosier of two problems. hahaha
If you want to post pictures:
" target="_blank
Baha has you covered.
OR
Create a photobucket account (or similar).
Upload your pictures there.
COPY the "Image URL" (either right click on any picture and use the "copy image URL" or if in photobucket it gives you a nice automatic option)
Then PASTE the "Image URL" in_here which you can find a button to insert up ^^ there beside the Bold Italic Underline stuff.
Do the second option if you can, it doesn't cost mazdabscene anything that way well... I don't think so.
