i had it happen twice in my 86 lx. the slave kept goin out. my pedal would be stuck to the floor. id have to stick my toe under it and pull it up and pump it a bunch to fully depress it. it sucked and it pissed me off. lol idk how u drove around for a year.

Finally found the problem. I had looked at the clutch through the inspection hole once and saw nothing wrong. Jacked it up a couple of days later and this time rotated the engine and discovered this.Thanxs for yaulls

Wow. I've never seen any thing like that before, even on the old VW board = where I thought we see everything !!!



If you had provided more details, maybe we all could've helped you to figure this out sooner. Stuff like: which drive-thru, what did you order, photo of the babe, what was she wearing, etc.

My thought with checking for broken clutch fork would have discovered this in the process of removing transmission to get good access to the fork. If the tips were broke from the rest of the fork, the fork would have still visually moved about the same looking from the outside, but would have had no interval movement on the bearing. That's the only thing i figured it really could have been based off your description of problem. Glad you got it figured out
