so anybody else got any usufull tips or ideas of how to do this? just tryin to figure out the easiest and safest way to do it.

i'd run the fan off of ignition.
85 ign
86 ground
87 ignition
30 to fan

there should be 2 wires on the fan....
it should be able to be wired either way (for push or pull)

if you wire it this way you wont need the sensor... just a 40 amp bosch relay, a few female spade connectors and a few butt connectors and then you are good to go.

wiring it like this will ensure it is on whenever the truck is cranked up, so you wont have to worry about flipping a switch or anything as it automatically comes on when you crank it up and cuts off when the truck is turned off.

do it this way for now... then if you feel the need add a sensor inline with the power to the fan... it (the sensor) should act like a pressure switch does and cut off when it reaches a certain temp and cut on when it reaches a certain temp.
