Differences in Head Gaskets Please help!

Got it figured out guys, I bought both gaskets. Once I get to the truck and see which block it is it will be easy. But the truck is an hour away and no parts stores are close to the truck. Thanks for the info guys.

i didn't bother reading everything above. but here you go...

the only difference between the 2.0 and the 2.2 heads are the lifters assys. everything elses is the same. i put a 2.0 head on my 2.2 block for the simple fact that no matter what you do the hydraulic lifters on the 2.2 head suck! with the 2.0 head you just adjust them when they start the ticking noise. a very simple job. when i pulled my 2.2 head off i put it side by side with the 2.0 head and there is no difference in the casting. now as for the engine, i have no idea if there is a difference in the blocks. if it is a 2.2 block with a 2.0 head, i would go with the 2.2 head gasket, that is what i did. and i had no problems. hope this helps bro.

Luckily it was the cam seal and not the headgasket. I got to the truck today and notice it was the cam seal. I am glad too. The 2.0 gasket was $25, the 2.2 was $43 so now I can return both and a parts store close actually had the cam seal in stock. I'll be putting it on today. Thanks Guys
