Ok so what I thought was valve seals was apparently not it. I had a head rebuilt but it didn't change the smoking at all. Someone told me it's the o2 sensor dumping fuel on me. I'm going to change it tomorrow and see what happens. Here's the video, let me know what you guys think it is.

I think you'll get some laughs out of these pics. These are the plugs that were in the truck when I got it. Changed them back in September.

Oh no, That's exactly how my truck smokes. I was hoping it was just the head too. Could that be the rings?

I don't know. I guess it could be but the smoke isn't really blue at all to me. More like a really light gray?

The plugs that were in it when I changed the head were purple and green. They've only been in there since September when I changed them from the ones in the pics.

Mines white and blue and really stinks of oil, haven't checked the plugs yet

hey bro, if you figure it out let me know. my 83 is doing it too and i just pulled the engine out and rebuilt it minus the internals of the block. thought they were good until i put it all back together and cranked it up. like a light grey and smells funky as hell. i had my head completely rebuilt and everything. just installed a new carb and about to see how that works out but i have the same thing going on. if i figure it out i will let you know. but i have a bad feeling it is going to be rings and i am going to have to pull my engine again.

I'm going to shit a Himalayan Coconut if it's the o2 sensor.

i dont think it would be the O2 sensor cause if it was getting excess fuel the smoke would be black in color. And i had a 89 that smoked pretty bad in the morning for a couple of mins but the smoke was definitely a blue color and the engine had lots of blow-by so it was oil getting past the rings until they warmed up enough and expanded. Does it go away when warmed up? although your smoke looks pretty white which leaves me to believe its coolant getting into the chamber, possibly a bad head, cracked or warped?
