not ur usual alternator question

okay on ebay they have a chevy 350 gm 1 wire which everyone have used on their b22k and have to buy their own external regulator. but on the page there was another link to a gm 3 wire alternator with an external regulator already isnt this better than using the 1 wire and adding or cutting out wires plus adding your own external reg.? explain if theres something im missing thanks guys.

i used a 1 wire.. internal regulator.. everything works fine so far

i say just look for a gm 1 wire with an internal reg...thats what i'm running and works champ

I originally swapped mine to a GM "1-wire" but in reality it was a 3-wire with an internal regulator, Its not bad but its stupid to run wires yuuo dont need, I then swapped it for a TRUE 1-wire, There is a difference because the 3 wire and 1 wire are both technically one wires, so be cautious as to which one you get, The 1 wire is the way to go, Its simple and just use the one wire to the battery. In al honesty the internal regulator is wayyy easier for you, also its more accuarate because the alt is direct to the battery and senses all voltages instead of a small window of voltage, I would stick with the internally regulated 1 wire, But be certain its a true one wire!

okay thanks bro, i was just using those as reference because i was talking to gus from ohio gen and said i should run the 3 wire cuz its more like our stock one and external reg incase i wanted to go to sound competitions i could upgrade my electricals to 16 volts but i think i like your way better, looks much cleaner imo thanks for the input brother i appreciate it.
