ok, I have a 91 with a weber and a pacesetter. All the emmisions are gone. but i have 2 little questions remaining.

what do i plug my pcv valve into? its on the front of the valve cover, and its horizontal, i ran the hose to the intake, right under where my carb mounts up. is this right? cause when the truck is running the hose collapses under the vacuum pressure.

and what would work better, a breather filter on top of the valve cover, or running a line to the weber air cleaner?

thanks in advance guys. my truck has been running good as is, but it just doesnt seem right to me.

You have the PCV connected to the right port, yes. Although, collapsing is not good. Make sure it is vacuum line, and check to make sure the PCV valve is not bad.

If you take out the valve and shake it, it should rattle. If not, replace it, or try and clear it with some carb cleaner first.

As far as the breather goes, I never thought about it technically. I use a filter on it, but now that I think about it, if you run it to the air cleaner, it will get gunky after a while so clean it, but I'm sure it would help engine performance on cooling the burn.

Don't know if this helps or not. Truck runs great with this setup but cannot say if long term use will effect the air cleaner.

it is purdy though

that does help. but it looks like i have the wrong pcv valve. mine is L shaped...

and yeah, it is purdy

If it fits, I don't see why it would matter if it is L-shaped...

It matters cause u got 2 90 degree angles to make with the L shaped.Get a straight one and check ur vapor hose from PCV valve to base of carb.It should not be collapsing with vacuum applied. That hose is very thick or should be to prevent collapse.Sounds like u got the wrong hose.BJ

He might not have the wrong one. There are 2 differnt valve covers. One has the PVC coming out the top. If you have that one your supposed to have the one with the 90 degree bend at the top so it will face the carb and not the bottom of the hood. If your valve cover is like Immortal1 then it should be the straight one. Most of the 2.2's had the cover that comes out the top not the side. the 2.0's had them come out the side. They will swap between motors so If you wont one that comes out the side find a 2.0 at the wrecker and grab the valve cover.
