spewing oil

I'm running 10w40 oil. The truck does smoke when it's cold so I guess a ring(s) could be the problem. But why would it make it do that? Powerwise it's got more than any other Mazda I've rode in. It's blowing oil all over the engine and underside of the hood.

there is a baffle on the bottom of the valve cover that has a plate covering it. if you take it off and look at it you will see thats were the PVC comes off of and the little hole your talking about. When I had mine off I took it apart and got all the gunk out. There was lots in there all most to the point of stopping it up. even more so up by the PVC. It might be something to look into

I took it off when I put the head on a few months back and cleaned it out. I'll look and see if I have a pic and if not I'll get one.
