Pretty much the same as mine, You have to flip it upside down and the bottom bolt is super gay to bolt in, and the upper bracket is EXTREMELY close to the fan, Although all you gotta do is grind it down a small amount for clearance. Its easy to install, super easy man, Just the belt is the bitch part. Start with the alt first wrap the belt around that, and then around the pulley on the motor.

Will the alternator hold up to that? I figured you would have to grind down the top bracket about 3/8" to clear nicely. And did you re-drill that hole to fit the existing bottom bolt? I test fitted the new one and it doesn't move/pivot that much because of space.

I gotta grab a few nuts n bolts to do this. Hopefully I don't fluck it up .

No I used the bolt that comes with the alt, lil black one, And I threaded it towards the front of the truck its super gay to do it that way!, But I actually didnt grind down the upper bracket, and I only needed to purches one bolt lol well 3 to find the right one, and that was for the top bracket.

Well I just finished getting it mounted in my truck and god damn that upper bracket is close. My external Fan is HUGE so it just clears it, and by just I mean juuuuuust. Gave everything a once over to make sure I have lots of clearance and everything looks ok. Belt is tight and everything. I'll snap some pics of what I did tomorrow.

I hit a bit of a snag through. My truck being fuel injected (maybe carbed does to) goes through the main fuse block in which there's a stock 80A fuse in there aswell as 3 others. I totally gapped this. I got everything up and wired then went to open the door and there wasn't any lights on . So now I have to figure out a way to fuse it in properly through the main fuse block. Do I need to fuse it with a 160A fuse or something? (Alternator being a 140A). Or does this fuse need to be upgraded at all? I'm a little unsure of this part. You could say i'm conFUSED

lostb2200-- I have read that thread a bunch of times and nowhere does it state anything about re-drilling the the hole (top of alternator) and bolting it up. It's a threaded bolt so to get the stock one through you would have to re-drill it or get a small bolt which would probably snap later on due to stress. I did it a bit different only because i'm using the CS130 style casing which is roughly the same but the external fan like I said is HUGE so I had to take the stock upper bracket and reverse it the other way and grind down about 1/8" for it to clear the external fan. I also drilled out the alternator an 1/8" to accept the stock lower bolt. I also got new nuts and bolts for everything aswell.

I went to a alt rebuilding shop and had mine rebuilt. Went from 35 amp to 90. Not bad for $50.....

Ok that is some awsome info. Sounds like you have no worries for power now.

Got everything working right now. Just going to re-tighten the bolts and adjust the belt a little bit more.

I'll take some pictures of the install after i'm done. Works like a champ and put out some juice finally .
