The wire that connects to the temperature sensor under the thermostat is a Yellow wire that is bunched up with the rest of the wires that go to the oil temp sensor, the starter, alternator, etc. if you don't have the connector, you can always solder it on as I did in my case. You may not have the right wire connected in there and your temp sensor is reading a resistance from something else. the conector on the radiator is only for the heater plate. It has nothing to do with your temperature gauge on the cluster. Getting the weber in there will be the best thing to do. and will remove a lot of junk in the way.

i cut into the wiring harness and found the yellow wire. i had grabbed a plug from the junk yard on my last visit and hooked it up. still not reading temp. if you ground out the wire the guage sweeps like it should i also replaced the sensor under the thermostat. but still nothing.

make sure your thermostat is good just cause its new doesnt mean it works...if you ground the yellow wire and the guage jumps its definatly good...so its gotaa be the tstat or the sending unit
