No Fire???

My truck isn't firing. It turns over but there no spark..... Theres no spark even gettin to the distributor. A friend told me it would be the coil.... But since its $98 for a coil for my truck, i wanna be sure thats it. Any other suggestions? I'm bout to run to U Pull It to try to find a coil first. Thanks guys!!!!!!!

check both sides to see if the coil is getting power and ground. they are labled. $98 is high for a coil. you can get a msd blaster coil cheaper than that.

So i can get an msd one?? Hell ya, those are like 35 bucks or somethin. U Pull It didn't have one I got a bench seat though haha, i always leave with somethin that i didnt come for.....

Would i have to get an MSD one that would fit a 2.6L?? Or could i get jus a coil for like a chevy or somethin..... I dont know that much bout ignition.

It worked before i took the trans out. Now it won't fire. Is there a ground that i'm missin?????

I think you pulled a ground. I would check the wires that attach near the starter. or behind it. the whole ignition system is wired in a loop.

Well i tested the coil at work and its fine, i'm thinkin it may be the control module. I'm gonna make sure its gettin power. If it is, then the module is bad. If not, then i know i have a wiring problem

The ignition coil is gettin power on the white wire, i'm guessin the black is groun d and the red should fire when i'm turnin the key but its not doin anything. So i'm guessin i need a ignition control module
