well.... ignition control module installed.... still nothing. I'm thinkin its a ground issue. Will someone with a 2.6 please help me??!! I need someone to look at their engine and see how many grounds are grounded on that trans mounting bolt. The one that the battery ground goes to. Please check and see if theres more than one. THANKS GUYS!!!!!

just a guess by all means but is it an auto tranny? there could be some sort of lockout from starting in the tranny if it isnt in park. there could be a wire from the tranny not plugged in?

I read today that theres an alignment pin for when you install the neutral safety switch.... I didn't know that when i put it on.... So thats the first thing i'm gonna check today.....

Neutral safety switch works fine..... I hadn't tested the coil ON the truck, just off of it and it passed so i figured it was good. And now i tested it and its gettin power so i'm gonna go get a coil and try that. And im returnin the control module

Hope the new coil fixes it

changed nothing....

Theres a single white wire that is taped up with the coil plug, its a single wire plug..... whats that for??? Mine isnt plugged into anything.... I dont think it ever has been but i'm jus checkin

ok... when i was checkin the ICM, the black and red wires weren't doin anything.... I thought maybe they were the ground side?? cuz if they are, they wouldnt light up like normal..... anyways, i clamped my test light to the postive post on my battery and touched the red wire that plugs into the ICM, well when contact stopped, the coil wire would spark, then i would touch the wire again and release, it would spark again.... so when the red wire gets power through it, it'll make the coil spark. Maybe another bad ICM???? I dont know, both the ICM's i've bought were returned at some point. I jus can't seem to figure out what the deal is. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Invest in a power probe.. It’s a POWERFUL tool in any electrical diagnosing.. Also get a hold of a wiring schematic. It’s a lot easier following a map then driving blind.
