It depends on what you want from the new carb, i.e. replace original carb, better gas mileage, more low end power, etc.
The DGEV is a 32/36 progressive carb (Redline kit# K675) that gives better driveability, a little more power, and better gas mileage than the original carb. The DGES is a 38/38 synchronous carb (Redline kit# K675-38) that gives better driveability and a lot more low end power with gas mileage equivalent to the original carb. The DGEC is a new 34/34 carb that is a Weber knockoff. It was created to provide a replacement for the original carb at a reduced cost. The last price I saw for a DGEC kit was $249.99.
I've had the DGEV and the DGES on my '92 B2200 and they both perform exactly as stated on the Redline web site. I currenlty have the 38 installed and I'm getting a lot more low end power with about the same gas mileage as the stock carb. It is not a hot rod carburetor on a stock B engine, but it does give a considerable increase in bottom end power. My B is a work truck. I tow a 16' double axle utility trailer loaded pretty heavy sometimes. I need the low end grunt the 38 gives me.
