Truck dies when not getting gas

So..are we all good now??? I got mine fixed a few days ago...little frustrated that all it needed was an adjustment from the idle screw, works perfectly again. Grateful for that!

I have battling this same problem. I've had my stock carb rebuilt twice, all new choke linkage, new vac. lines, new plugs, new cap, new rotor, new coil. Checked timing, it's all good. Yesterday finally threw in the towel and ordered a Weber.

i dont know if this ever got solved but my problem sounded just like that except mine never started without pumping the gas about 30 times before starting, i got the whole carb apart and cleaned and iv got the rebuild kit and just ordered a new mixture control solenoid tonight. hopefully it works if not homicide spree soon
