I have a semi modded B2200 and I am exploring the option fo doing a turbo. Is there anywhere on the web that lays out all that you need to do a turbo set up. Any help would be great.

Alright here are a few links.....this dude is AMAZING. His truck if you can find the videos is sick as hell.

This site here is not Mozilla Firefox friendly but opens in IE

This part works tho - Awesome build pics of his truck in there as well.

I also think Tweaker and another member have some knowledge on this if they will pipe up.

ok, I am a motorhead and have built a couple small block chevys and a maz b22... that diyefi stuff was way over my head. HA HA lookin for someone that had done a B22 Turbo and documented the build and list of *you gotta have* items for the build. if its not out there... maybe I will just buy a Nissan SR20DET and make dis mofo really fast. I would prefer the cheaper route with the B22 motor though! HA HA

If I am not mistaken he started with a B22 block. Added the head and went crazy from there. LOL

I wanna keep the B22 motor... dont wanna do a swap.... I would drop a Chevy vortec 4.3 if I do a full swap...

anyone know where I can get a kit or will the Probe set up bolt up?

are you wanting is to keep the 8v head with the b22k bottom end?....it has been done, and there are a few threads on here...mazda had a magnum motor (8v b2000 engine) that they sold over seas for a few years, it was supposedly a turbo variant, but no proof of the turbo, just the engine, and nothing about parts (intake & exhaust mani's) and had @ 120 hp ish.....next option is an aussie 12v head from a bongo engine, same as the probe gt and 626 gt (f2t motor), just the dizzy is on the front of the motor, not the back causing clearance issues with the fire wall.....the intake and exhaust mani will work, but the intake will need to be flipped and what not, so it isn't just a "plug & play" swap, but can be done pretty easily with all the right parts and should come in @ 140 hp or so that was what the p-gt & 626 gt were rated at...now the best bang for the buck is to get a kia sportage 16v (basically an fe3t) with a nice turbo setup, and a stand alone ecu, and you can get close to 200 hp or more with this setup, which is the stuff in the links provided earlier in the thread...

there are several threads in the engine section that have a lot of info on it, and you may be able to find some more info on mazdatruckin.com aswell...good luck!

B2200 = F2T motor correct?

I read somewhere where someone bolted the Probe/MX-6 Intake/exhaust bits onto his stock F2T truck head and went to town. I'd add a rising rate FPR to compensate for the boost and keep it at 5psi or so. Works; in theory.

You will still need some intake piping, oil send/return lines for the turbo (maybe even water, depending on the turbo) and a down pipe. Is your truck F.I. now? If not, you'll also need a fuel pump/filter/relay.

I think I saw this on the JunkYardTurbo site. I'd lvoe to give it a go myself sometime jsut for kicks if I ever scored a cheap-as-free B-series.

Good luck!
