hey guys is there an Alternator i can swap out of a 92 B2600i to get more amps

Iv seen some where that a mustang gt alt works but not sure, you have to change the wireing some.. ask around someone on here has to know.... Im looking for the same thing

see I heard that the mustang alr has three wires also ans all you need it to cut off the old plug and put the ford plug on it and it works but Im not sure of it and Im still looking for it to make sure what all do you have to do to put the windstar alt in

Does the factory pull on the gm alt get used or does that need to be swapped?

ask flameds10(tyler brooks)..he has a one wire and hooked up to a b2200...he would know the details on the mods..

wow thanks guys so im looking for a GM one wire now how do i modifi my wiring harness to fit the gm?

i had the gm one wire on mine for awhile. i dont know what the difference is in the mounts between a 26 and a 22 but i had to flip the alt over. grind the mount down some. different belt and i ran an 8 gauge wire straight from the alt to the battery. you wont have a dummy light in the dash if you go this way though.
