I know most of you have 2 1/4 exhaust pipe but will this be too big with my automatic tranny? I do have headers and a 32/36 webber.Should I just go with 2 in.

your fine, the tranny has nothing to do with your header or exhaust. sounds like a sweet set up to me

the auto tranny itself just robs theses trucks of power especially on the low end. If you have never driven a b2200 auto, try it, it absolutely sucks! But on the positve side, I can drink my coffee while I drive to work. LOL!

Got my exhaust done. I went with two inch pipe from the header to a resonator and to a 2 1/4 borla pro xs and tail pipe. I went smaller in front just to keep some presure in the system. A larger tail pipe gives it a deeper melow tone too. The sound is just what I was looking for. Its not loud at all. kinda low and mellow and no freeway drone. Actually preety quite on the freeway. I'll post some pics later.

Looks nice!! I have an 89 automatic mazda. I did the same thing as you did but I didnt run a cat. Just had a straight pipe to my flowmaster muffler then dumped out the muffler with a downturn.

I have no cat too. that long tube looking thing is not a glasspack, its a resonator to tone down that high raspy sound when you floor it.
