Wow. Read all eleven million posts. Impressed beyond words.

If you plan on doing the VQ hit me up, they are my specialty. I actually was about to do the same sort of set up with a VK swap, motor is still sitting at my old shop. Truck got sidelined for far too long so now I just want the truck to run and have some fun in it again.

I really wanted to do the vq but a few things came to light that made me abandon the idea. I was told it was a HR motor which it wasn't. There was oil pump failure so the damage was pretty extensive, and some other little problems. I do love the way they sound though and wanted to build my own intake manifold with an eaton m118 and some stepped equal length headers, it would sound amazing.

Eventually I'll probably just do a 4.8 Chevy truck motor for cheap easy power.

You can generally find a VQ in reasonable condition for under $800. Yeah the HR is prime, they still use the heads in all the Nissan race cars. You can do an easy solid 380whp with a cam/head work/intake/header/tune on the HR.

Sorry I won't have the time to make any parts in the near future.

In other news I am currently building my garage house, so once that's finished the truck will be the first of my vehicles to be finished.

I also bought an ae86 corolla with a 1uz v8 in it. Should be 400whp an around 2100 lbs. FUN
