It originally belonged to a friend of mine and he started a body drop and you know how that story usually goes. LOL

This is how I got it and begun a full tear down. He never Zd the frame or moved the transmission cross member up so it wouldn't lay out all the way. Very similar to what someone mentioned in another thread my friend just got in too deep and lost interest I think.

And this is after I got the frame out from under it and on my frame table to start on the project

I'll make a build thread soon. I started on the rear suspension today. I just want to wait until I have the frame in primer and the cab back on. It's going to have somewhere around a 3" body drop total.

Just a small teaser, the frame has changed a lot. These are the tube notches I built to replace the step notch.

Frame table... that would have saved a ton of back breaking work

Very nice progress on the Yota Rob! So now that you have the rails basically done, any crazy ideas for bag mounts? I assume a somewhat normal 4 link to hold the Axel?

Now rob what is the point of having a build thread if you wait till you have a bunch of pics to drop at once? lol thats a photo post thread not a build thread!!!!

holy shit man and i thought you were just a internet guru... i love a standard cab yota of that vintage... looks like you got the deal of the week...

LOL I'll get one going soon. I'm just mocking up everything right now so it's nothing worthy to show just yet.

Thanks for the comments!

Rob you DO realize that you have been appointed to my dream team to get my ultimate B series built, right?
You for frame and suspension
MTrain for my engine/transmission
K6 for the powdercoating
baddawg253 for the fiberglassing
and myself for the rest of the interior and stereo
