Finished welding the front up today, dear god I hate flux and refuse to every use a flux welder again. I started off trying to weld the front up with flux wire and gave up. Finally said the hell with it and went and bought a tank for the welder. So much easier with the argon and good wire. With that said onto the pics.
The truck all back together.

Dropped out

I think i got some pics of the front end being put together somewhere today. Now I got a problem. Matt bolted everything down after I left and ran the air line to check it. It's not getting the lift it should so I need to see where it's binding at.

I'll tear it down some and take a look this weekend. My brother finished bolting it all together after the welds finally cooled back down. I'm not that worried about it yet, if the deal with the dually falls through I'm gonna start redoing the back half so the cab and everything will come off. Figure might as well stock floor it if I go that far as replacing the rear setup.

Well found where it was binding up at, need to pie cut the uppers to get the ball joint from binding up. So if anybody has any decent pics of what they did with there uppers.

Duetz 3 cylinder air cooled diesel in the Mazda, I think it would be bad ass with a hood stack. I've got 2 of them from some old welders that need some work on the welder part and am debating on trying to stick on in the Mazda. I haven't seen anybody else or really anybody use the engine before but right now it's just a thought. Got some emails out to see if anybody makes a engine to a trans adapter to see if it's even possible. It's no power house but just something different.

That would look cool and different

No go on the Duetz, it's too tall. 36" from the top to the bottom of the oil pan. Gonna keep looking around though.
Pie cut the upper arms today and backed it out of the shop/barn/ or whatever you want to call it.

Well small update, no heat where it's at so until spring just researching and finding parts to build it. Found a 1.5 VW diesel for it that we are going to look at this weekend hopefully. Going to stock floor body drop it with another 1-2" traditional to cut the pinch off. Thinking about using some 1" plate I have for a trans crossmember, any thoughts on that? Got a Miller Bobcat 250 Welder recently with a suitcase Mig welder for it so anxious to get to use it this spring.
