Hunter, thanks for the input. I'm not going to turbo it right away. The internals are forged from the factory so they should hold up when I decide I need a turbo. I've read on some other forums about turbo-ing the ka24e and it seems like everyone has little to no problems doing it. But that will be a ways down the road, if ever.
I will have the Weber and Pacesetter for sale after the engine swap...make me an offer. They have less than 10 miles on them of use. I also have a new head with less than 10 miles on it if you need an extra. Let me know.

Thanks Paparoach. The seats are out of a Mazda Protege and do look close to the stockers and mount right up to the truck seat rails. They feel alot better than the stock truck seats.

Crap! Well I'll be staying with the Mazda 2.2 for a while longer; the Nissan engine deal fell through. I guess I'll just finish my sound system instead. Another sub and amp and a high output alternator. Gunna try my hand at fiberglassing. I want to make a custom fiberglass sub box, center console, door panels and maybe a dash and a fiberglass headliner that houses my three amps. We'll see how good I am at 'glassing before I attempt those last two.

man i cant wait to see pics.

I can't wait to see pics either, that means I'm doing something to my truck. I ordered my other sub and amp today. Hopefully the amp will be matched, wattage wise, to my first one. I talked to a dealer and they told me they'd look for an amp bench tested at 936 watts, so my fingers are crossed.
Anyways it's still not quite warm enough here to get fiber glass going, but if it ever stops raining I can start on the wood frames for the box, console and doors. I don't have a garage so I'm limited by weather most of the time. I'll get pics along the way.

Thanks. I'm not sure what year Protege the seats came out of. Early 90's I'd say.

Dropped my truck off at a shop to get the exhaust welded up and emissions and safety inspections done. It's been 10 months since I was able to drive it. I can't wait! My sub and amp should be delivered this week, so I'll get started on so fiberglassing soon.
