A: they make drop axles
B: use a futon style sofa to that extends to sit or sleep

a 6" drop axle with say a 24" inch tire would make about a 6" step in the floor

yeah that little one i posted the floor is flat and has the bed and if you put a notch in the trailer and sucked the tires in it would be right about mid back that you'd be layin on a hump unless you raised the trailer floor to match... wouldnt leave you much room to lay down tho...

mines getting upgraded to a long bed

just fyi, my trailer, a short box from a reg cab truck, the balance is a touch towards the back... loaded with a good amount of weight, there isn't a lot of tongue weight, and it can be easily lifted by hand to pull off the ball of the truck... but beware depending how much weight is more in the back of the box, the tongue may decide it wants to be 5' in the air instead of level when unhooked

A drop axle would work good too

That is why I was considering putting in a mounted tool box closer to the tounge, because it is back heavy. The long bed trailer will help with this considerably as well because the weight will be closer to the tongue. Also planning on one of those cranks that adjusts the height.

I have a long bed s10 trailer and if you put a big load in the very back it will tip as well but its very maneuverable and pulls like a dream.

same as the mazda trailer. i do get some side to side sway at certain speeds, especially when loaded, but you shouldnt be flying more than 100 km/hr anyways!

and great reverse maneuverability. i can actually over jackknife it about 30 degrees... not that you really need to, but sometimes help with putting in a spot outta the way.

i was thinking of a storage box on the front too.

Decided to mock up the axle and the bed just to get a mental image of what it may look like.
