Front seats are at the interior shop should have them back next week. Keeping the seats black but changing the gray inserts to match the rest of the tweed. Photo shoot is scheduled for next saturday is the weather is nice

I have been painting professionally for just over 20 years, I done it as an amateur for about 6 or 7 years before that.

I am one that will be honest with you, if I see a problem with something..... but I wont be rude.

I have to say that it shows in your work, that you know what your doing and you take great pride in your what you do.

If all painters were this way, body shops would hardly ever have any rework to do.

I notice that you do an exquisite job at masking off the vehicle.

A few key things to getting a good paint job, is making sure the vehicle is extremely clean (inside and out), the paint booth is extremely clean, all masking paper and tape should be tight against the vehicle (loose floppy paper makes for dirt in a paint job), the painter needs to be clean, the paint gun needs to be clean, and tack off every square inch of the vehicle (including the paper) between every coat, no exceptions (except for the clear cant tack that too sticky)

I just wanted to say congratulations on a fine job. Your long hours and hard work has definitely paid off.

Hellava job mazdizzle! It looks awesome! Are you going to cut out the defroster vents also?
mazdizzle   +1y
Axle yes I'm going to cut them out. Think I'm going to trim all the little bars out and use some screen behind to keep stiff from falling down in there. Would be easier to finish wrapping that way. I'll post a pic later.

Brian thanks for the compliment.

Public-Disturbance the whole top of the dash and around the sides to the speaker holes is all one piece. The bottom of the dash is 5-6 pieces seamed together. You can't tell by looking at it this tweed is very easy to work with.

nw87mazda I bought 6 yards of tweed and that was enough to do all the back panels rear seats and headliner. I went back and bought 4 more yards to to the door panels and dash. So if you got 6 yards that should be enough

Just waiting for my seats to come back. Decided I didn't like the body color trim pieces so I painted them back black.
