Gotta take the tranny down so i can get the right slip yoke and get a different u joint and maybe have the driveshaft chopped down...but i wont know for sure till i get the bellhousing and get everything dropped back in.

has this project been pretty spendy so far?
jc50942   +1y

this is the start of making a bracket for the slave cylinder. I used some nice thick cardboard that was pretty close to the same thickness of metal i plan on using.

a sharp razor seemed to do the job

at this point i had the cardboard trimmed pretty close to what i needed and bolted down to the bellhousing. Now to get the hole for the slave.

getting close...here the slave is really close to the fork so im gonna end up puttting a couple spacers in. The closer the better but i want a little bit of room to work with.

So this is what i ended up with for now till i get back to the shop tomorrow and refine it a bit more. Its a start.

Good work! Now thats ingenuity!

so after i got it stuffed back in the shifter was off a little.

so trimmed a little out.

so on to the clutch line. Front brake hose from a 4 runner.

10mm double flare for the rubber line side and 12mm bubble flare for the slave cylinder side.

so i got that all hooked up, bled the line out. Works good but i need to make some kinda gusset. The slave bracket flexes a little and i dont like it.

Moving on, i mounted, plumbed and bled my hand brake.

And made me a cool shifter. Not sure its gonna be permanent, we will see.
