im sure youve seen the pics on streetsource where a guy used a blazer rear section for the back windows and roofline. that might be something to think about as well. might be able to score a cheap blazer off of craigslist and cut what you need out

Awesome build. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see it.

Thanks guys! Mikey, I've been looking at a few options for the rear roof section. The blazers are really close, but I think I would have so much more work just in getting it to my liking. The 4 runners are close as well, I would just have to widen it a bit. All have slightly different angles and height, plus I'm super anal about this build. More than likely going to have a metal shop fab one to match the lines I want, but we'll see what that's going to cost. I'll definitely keep y'all posted on the progress. I'm waiting on some suspension parts to come in, so this weekend is dedicated to getting the rear door pillars welded up and maybe some fab on the doors. I can't wait to get the doors swinging!!

Just a short update, wasn't able to accomplish as much as I wanted to. Saturday was the day from hell and left me feeling so dejected with my deadline approaching. Today was better though. I remembered what a good friend told me once... just cut the f'n thing! So I did and was able to tack up part of the roof and mock up one of the pillars. Everything is rough and any lines that seem abrupt will be smoothed out to flow better. Enough of my babbling and on to the pics...

It's amazing how useful a bunch of cinder blocks can be sometimes!

First pillar mocked up with a 1" rail running up through the support and down into the body. The long rail sticking out will run the length of the truck. A 1" box tube fits perfectly inside the factory reinforcement. One thing is for sure, this thing will be solid!

The last two photos made my night. Kinda let me visualize the lines. The Navi wheels will work for now, but planning on running Boyd's when all is finished.
