Running vacuum hose from one port to another will work. So will a wooden golf tee stuck in a short piece of vacuum hose.

I've also found chain store vacuum caps to be crap and crack after a few months, while my 24 year old Mazda ones are still good. I haven't tried NAPA or CarQuest ones yet.

I got mine from O'riley. They all cracked...every stinking one of them. I also figured out what the most important screw is on my truck...the mixture screw on the weber carb. Adjusted it last night per weber's instructions and took my "running like crap" 2200 to a sweet purring kitty. Better acceleration, better idle...love it.

Now I need to figure out my options on getting rid of the lifter tap.
