the brake thing has to do with the abs i believe and the thing on the rear dif is the sensor.

Pix ain't showing... And yeah, the big brake thing if the rear abs actuator, thanx the abs sensor on the rear diff, and to finish the removal process of the abs, you'll need to pull the brain box for the abs from under the driver seat.

fixed the pics, found the culprit as well...had a short in the wiring harness, so when I turned the key forward to purge the fuel lines it sparked and thus causing the fire with the gas leak....quirky bit of luck. Now it's full blown build time.

Better Luck next time and first thing that came to mind was "Disco Inferno"

I hope that the steel is still good on the cab, frame should be alright. And yes, it will be a full blown build now

not gonna take a chance on the cab, just gonna scrap it and start fresh, i have an S10 sitting parked that was once bagged, just gonna re-bag it and take my time and put my full attention into making it ten times better.

Your lucky you didn't get hurt man!. I always have a fire extinguisher within ten feet while working in the shop, everyone should!

I agree man and yeah definitely lucky, I was dragging my oxy/acy tanks out of the garage when the tank popped and caught the cab on fire. Luckily I KCCO'd and got the fire out before it got completely out of hand. From the back of the front seats back on the cab is ruined, and the body drop job wasn't that great to begin with when I bought it so I look at it as a good time to fix everything....over more than just a fall/winter season.
