when i first got my first truck, sumone had the radio rigged, long story short, the power wire for the stereo melted, but just blew my cab (room) fuse everytime i hit a bump.

Yeah, gotta love wiring gremlins, made all that much harder to solve when you don't have a wiring diagram.

Ok, so the updates so far have been slow and sporadic and will probably stay that way for a while yet.... Like many of you, my budget, both time and money is somewhere between fuck all and none....

But, its update time .
After fixing the main part of the park light dramas I'm still without dash lights till I can be bothered dealing with that little problem.
Just spent the last weekend striping out my old project, wich netted me a bunch of much needed parts, such as 4x4 front guards, 18's, 1 piece glass doors and a bunch of elec stuff.
Hoping to grab the engine and the last few useful bits and peices in a couple of weeks.... The old project currently resides at a mates place about an hour away.
I've just replaced the blower resistor with the one from my ex project and how good is having 4 fan speeds for the aircond.... Fucking great ill tell you lol.
Began cleaning up the electronic distributor at work today and am making a wiring loom for my electric fan so I can get rid of the engin driven one.
Also stripped the tyres from my 18's so I can prep them for paint or powdercoat. As well as getting my new speakers mounted in pods ready to go on the doors very shortly.

Aannnnnndddd......... Now for the pics, more or less some happy snaps of all the goodies soon to be fitted.

So these are the wheels ill be running, I want to do them black or gunmetal, and am as yet undecided on wether to polish the outer lip..... Opinions welcome.

Not sure if ill use these seats yet, they're a touch rough, and I'm not sure I want to go to the expense of retriming...

So as can be seen, I've got a lot of stuff to get together, but hey, it all takes time and patients lol.
Oh and alsoforgot, just replaced the rocker gasket AMD choke cable and will be getting a fuel pump blanking plate and partial roll pan made in the next day or two.
I'm pretty keen to try and put a short roll pan in where the factory seams are just beside the rear step cutouts so I lose the numberplate recess and bumper cut outs, but not the factory rollpan dip ins near the ends of the tail gate.... Had a good look around and doesn't look like many have done it.

Rock and roll, bubble hood and 4x4 guards
What's with the doors? They have electric windows so you grabbed the whole thing or what?
What are the seats from, sort of look likes Celicas....?

Hell yeah jenko, can't wait to get all the 4x4 gear on so the frontend matches the tub.
Doors are one piece glass, mine are 2, wich in itself didn't require a whole door change, but my drivers door window frame is totally rusted thru and given I had the other doors just sitting around...... May as well just swap them. Though elec windows are on the cards, there's a raider in one of the junk yards near me wich still has the power window regs and power steering, both with my name on them lol.
Seats came from. Mazda 323 bg astina... Mid 90s I think, they used to be in my navara many years ago lol, comfy as hell, though a little shabby.
How's your fe3 coming along?

Just installed electronic ignition from my old 2200, pretty quick and easy, I swapped out the coil for one from a Suzuki swift gti. While I was at it I finally got rid of the mechanical fuel pump. Just plated over the hole.
I'm going to try and do an engine bay tidy up and replace my engine fan with the electric fan setup over the next few days....
I guess that's the problem with a nearly 30 year old truck, so many little things add up to a lot of work lol
